GREAT SOUTH WEST WALK

The 250km trek, which weaves through the communities of Portland, Cape Bridgewater, and Nelson, across the capes of Discovery Bay and trailing the Glenelg River, is one of the region’s biggest tourist attractions.

A world-class experience including rugged cliffs, sublime bays, tranquil forests and pristine river, all within four National Parks. Ideally set up for shorter walks, day walks or the whole loop.

CAPE NELSON LIGHTHOUSE

The Cape Nelson State Park, near Portland on Victoria's southwest coast is a 243-hectare state park. Attractions include a 3-kilometre clifftop walk and a visit to the Cape Nelson lighthouse.

Tours conducted twice daily. Climb all of the steps to the top of the lighthouse and see views of the wind-towers, the Capes and the Southern Ocean. Watch gannets, seals and whales from the top of the lighthouse. Hear stories of our fascinating and sometimes tragic maritime history
